About Line Interactive (Voltage Regulating) UPS Systems
In addition to surge, spike and battery backup protection, a line interactive UPS provides automatic voltage regulation. A regulating transformer allows the UPS to boost voltage during extended brownouts and step-down prolonged over voltages without having to deplete reserve battery power. When on battery, line-interactive UPS systems usually provide true sine wave or modified step-sine wave output power which is suitable for most loads. |

About On-Line Double Conversion UPS Systems
On-line UPS systems feature surge and spike protection, battery backup, and voltage regulation, plus the added benefit of continuous power conditioning.
