About rotary switches:

AB DB25 Mechanical Switch

Rotary switches have limitations: they don't do keyboard or mouse emulation (you may have to reboot attached PCs after switching); they may cause ghosting if used for hi-res video; their friction contacts generate static that can damage peripherals or void your printer warranty; and they wear out after repeated switching.

For most switching applications we recommend an automatic switch with static-free solid-state electronic switching, data flow detection and connection spoofing. Ask your Lex Tec representative for assistance in determining the best switch for your requirements.
