Read the fine print before you buy cable...
Some cables are marketed in 1/2 boxes (150M/500ft) to appear less expensive. Others may be only Cat5 or 100MHz instead of Cat5E 350MHz.
The cheapest versions may use copper coated aluminum wires, reduce the strand count from 7 to 5, reduce wire gauge from 23 or 24 to 25 (smaller), or use tinsel style conductors.
Some sellers offer a hodge-podge of cables including factory seconds or written-off cable from scrap auctions.
