What is offset VHDCI ?
The VHDCI (Very High Density Centronics Interface) is used on many SCSI controllers and peripherals.
Some devices have two VHDCI ports stacked together. The ports are so close together that plugging in a standard cable to one port actually blocks access to the other port.

In order to use both ports it is necessary to use an offset VHDCI cable. An offset cable eliminates the bulky plastic cable molding (top) in favour of a slimmer metal shell (bottom) and allows the cable to fit into a narrow space.
If you're in doubt about which cable to get we recommend choosing the offset cable since it will always fit. |
