About DisplayPort:
DisplayPort is a new digital audio and video interface standard for computers and computer monitors. Unlike HDMI, DisplayPort features a locking connector to prevent accidental disconnection.
Mixing DisplayPort with HDMI or DVI digital video requires use of interface adapters. Use of DisplayPort with analog VGA type equipment requires an interface converter. |

About HDMI:

HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus 8--channel digital audio on a single cable. It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards. |

About DVI:
The Digital Visual Interface (DVI) is a video connector designed to maximize the visual quality of digital display devices such as flat panel LCD computer displays and digital projectors. It was developed by an industry consortium, the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG).
The DVI connector may be one of three types, depending on which signals it supports:
- DVI-D digital only
- DVI-A analog only
- DVI-I digital and analog
